Turin's spring classic is back for its twelfth edition. In 2026 it sold out two weeks before race day.

On Sunday 11 April 2027 La Mezza di Torino, the Turin Half Marathon, reaches its twelfth edition. It's the city's international half marathon, listed on the international calendar of FIDAL (the Italian Athletics Federation), and every year it opens the Base Running race season.

The start is at 8:30 alongside La Dieci. The finish is planned in Piazza San Carlo, Turin's elegant “drawing room”.

“It's not just a race, it's a journey through the city's history, art and beauty.” That's how race director Alessandro Giannone describes his Mezza. In 2026 there were 7,500 of you and bibs ran out fifteen days early: for 2027, leave your email and we'll tell you as soon as entries open.

The start is at 8:30 in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, at the end of Via Po, and you head straight down to the river: Lungo Po Diaz, Corso Cairoli and, after the Ponte Umberto I bridge, Corso Massimo d’Azeglio alongside the Parco del Valentino (Valentino Park). You run south as far as the Molinette hospital, make a short loop between Corso Unità d’Italia and Viale Thaon di Revel by the National Automobile Museum, then come back along the same boulevard.

After the drinks station at 6.5 km you enter the Parco del Valentino, run past the Castello del Valentino and head back towards the centre along the Po, below the Murazzi riverside arches. At 9 km, between Lungo Po Diaz and Via Maria Vittoria, comes the first cut-off (by 9:39). From here you head south again for the second, longer lap: on Corso Massimo d’Azeglio at the junction with Corso Dante you'll find the second cut-off (12 km, by 10:00) and a drinks station, then you run the full length of Corso Unità d’Italia, past the Automobile Museum, to the turnaround by the Palavela arena.

The way back is on Viale Thaon di Revel with the Po beside you, then Corso Massimo d’Azeglio again and the avenues of the Valentino, with the last drinks station at 18 km. From the Murazzi you climb back up to Piazza Vittorio at 20 km, run a final loop along Via Principe Amedeo and Via Po and drop down to the finish in Piazza Vittorio Veneto. The course is almost flat: the only climbs are the short ramps between the riverside roads and street level.
