For one morning, the track where cars were put to the test becomes the place to test your legs.

On Sunday 8 November 2026 CEDAS We RUN is back: the race Base Running organises inside one of the landmarks of industrial Turin. Start and finish are on the Stellantis &You forecourt in Piazza Cattaneo; in between are the internal roads of the historic Mirafiori car plant, the former heart of FIAT, and its test track, a space that is normally closed to the public.

For its third edition the formula that won runners over in the first two stays the same: a competitive 10K on the regional calendar of FIDAL (the Italian Athletics Federation) and two non-competitive races open to everyone, over 10 km and 5 km. Both 10K races, competitive and non-competitive, count towards the Trofeo Agnelli. From racers chasing a personal best to people who want to walk with family or colleagues, there's room for everyone.

Running at Mirafiori means crossing a piece of Turin's history: for decades, industry, work and everyday life were woven together here. A technical shirt, a gym bag and a finisher medal designed for this edition are waiting for you.

The start is at 9:00 inside the Stellantis &You forecourt. Along the side roads of Piazza Riccardo Cattaneo and Corso Tazzoli you reach the plant entrance at the first kilometre. From there, about 400 metres take you onto Mirafiori's historic test track: 2.5 km on the circuit where Turin-built cars were tested for decades. Then roughly another 400 metres back to the exit.

At 4 km you leave the plant and head back towards Piazza Cattaneo. If you're running the 5K, you're nearly done: you turn back into the forecourt for the finish. The 10K carries on along the side road of Corso Orbassano, then the Corso Settembrini cycle path and the side road of Corso Agnelli, before passing Corso Tazzoli and Piazza Cattaneo again and returning inside the plant to finish.

It's a fast, flowing course, all on tarmac and with no drinks stations along the way: refreshments are at the finish. Start waves follow your bib number, which is assigned according to the time you declare when you enter.

Bib collection

Collect your bib and race pack at the We RUN Village, inside Stellantis &You at Piazza Cattaneo 9: Saturday 7 November from 10:00 to 18:30, or on race day, Sunday 8 November, from 7:30 to 8:40. Come on Saturday if you can: on Sunday collection closes at 8:40 for the start procedures and can't be guaranteed after that.

Who can run the competitive 10K

The competitive 10K is open only to members of FIDAL (the Italian Athletics Federation) and Runcard holders (the Runcard is FIDAL's running licence for runners without an Italian club). The minimum age is 16 for runners with a 2026 FIDAL membership through an affiliated club (born in 2010 or earlier) and 20 for Runcard holders.

You need a valid certificato medico agonistico, the Italian medical certificate for competitive athletics. Non-resident foreign runners can have the certificate issued in their own country, with the same tests required in Italy: a medical examination, full urine test, resting and post-exercise ECG, and spirometry.

The non-competitive races

The non-competitive 10K is open to anyone aged 14 or over by 8 November 2026; the 5K can be run or walked at your own pace. Neither needs a medical certificate: you just need to be fit enough to cover the distance on your own.

Under-18s can only take part with a parent, or an adult authorised by whoever holds parental responsibility, and with the relevant section of the entry form signed.

Start waves

The start is split into separate waves: you go in according to your bib number, which is assigned based on the time you declared when entering. The non-competitive races start from the last wave.

Services

The bag drop is inside the We RUN Village: one small backpack, with the numbered tag you'll find in your bib envelope; the organisers are not responsible for its contents. There are no showers.

There are no drinks stations on the course: refreshments are at the finish. Results and photos will be published online after the race.

Prize-giving

The prize-giving starts at 11:00. In the competitive 10K, prizes go to the top 3 men and women overall and the top 3 in each age category; in the 5K, to the top 3 men and women. Results are based on chip time.

Show your bib to collect your prize. Prizes are handed out only during the ceremony: they are not posted and cannot be exchanged.

  • —Men's categories: JPSM, SM35, SM40, SM45, SM50, SM55, SM60, SM65, SM70 and over
  • —Women's categories: JPSF, SF35, SF40, SF45, SF50, SF55, SF60, SF65, SF70 and over

Appeals must be made verbally to the Race Referee within 30 minutes of the results becoming official and, at a second stage, in writing to the Jury of Appeal with the required fee. Anything not covered here is governed by the FIDAL technical rules and regulations for road races.

Entering in person

Prefer to enter in person? Drop by the Base Running Shop at Corso Cairoli 28, Turin. On 7 and 8 November you can also enter at the We RUN Village, for €25, while bibs last.
