Get ready for a magical, unforgettable afternoon of sport, nature and solidarity!
On Saturday 11 October 2025 the magnificent Gardens of the Reggia di Venaria Reale become the course of a non-competitive event for the little ones: “La Corsa del Principino & Family”, a special event that combines the fun of running with the noble mission of Fondazione Paideia.
A kilometre of solidarity for the whole family
Organised by the Base Running team, already known for the Maratona Reale and Una Corsa da Re (the following day, Sunday 12 October), together with La Reggia di Venaria, “La Corsa del Principino & Family” is designed to get everyone involved.
Imagine running along the enchanting avenues of the Reggia Gardens, on a 1 km route that’s also accessible to pushchairs and people with reduced mobility. The aim? To raise funds for a really important cause: half of the entry fees go to Fondazione Paideia, which has been supporting less fortunate children and their families for more than 30 years.
The meeting point is Piazza della Repubblica at 14:30, with the official start at 15:30 from the spectacular Gran Parterre.
The event is meant to be a joyful, shared experience. Children over 11 can run on their own, while younger ones can take part with one or two adults, turning the race into a family adventure!
The Reggia di Venaria: beauty and solidarity
Choosing the Gardens of the Reggia di Venaria as the setting for “La Corsa del Principino & Family” is no accident. This place of extraordinary beauty and deep history comes together with a mission of great social value: a perfect mix of celebrating cultural heritage and civic commitment.
Since 1993, Fondazione Paideia has been passionately dedicated to the growth and inclusion of children with disabilities, supporting their families and promoting a fairer, more responsible society. By taking part in this race, you’ll not only enjoy a unique experience for the whole family in a fairytale setting, you’ll also actively help build a better future for those who need it most.
